Georgia Colin Gray’s Son, Colt Gray Is The Suspect In The Apalachee High School Incident

Recently, Colt Gray opened f*re at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, Georgia, and k*lled four people and injured at least nine.

According to a police officer, he started randomly sh*oting innocent victims using AR-platform-style equipment inside the school on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Officials have said the four victims who were k*lled were two students, Mason Schermerhorn, 14, and Christian Angulo, 14, and two teachers, Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irmie.

According to GBI director Chris Hosey, officials are still investigating where Gray obtained the equipment.

A joint statement from the FBI’s Atlanta field office revealed that in 2023, law enforcement received an anonymous tip about online warnings about a possible school incident.

Moreover, the suspect referred to in the statement was a 13-year-old boy who is the same subject caught by police related to an incident at Apalachee High School.

Law enforcement is investigating prior contact between Gray, his family, and the Department of Family and Children Services.

Marcee Gray’s Son Colt Gray Is The Resident Of Georgia

Colt Gray, 14, was born in 2010 in Georgia, a state in the Southeastern region of the United States. He lives in Bethlehem, which is 6 miles away from Apalachee High School.

He was born to his mother, Marcee Gray, and his father, Colin Gray. Colt was raised along with his two siblings.

Colt and his siblings lived with his father and used to travel and go camping.

His mother and father have already separated, and Marcee has updated her Facebook relationship status to Separated.

According to Marcee’s Facebook post, the reason for the separation was severe physical abuse by Colt’s father.

Marcee Gray is originally from Fitzgerald, Georgia, and attended Fitzgerald High School and Georgia Southern University.

She is the former Quality Assurance Manager of Georgia-Pacific LLC and Quality manager of Olympic Steel.

However, Colt Gray will be tried as an adult in the m*rder of the teachers and the students and attempted m*rder of the other nine persons.

According to his classmates, Gray was a very quiet and reserved student.

Colt Gray And His Father Was Questioned By Law Enforcement In 2023

In May 2023, the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center received several anonymous tips about online threats to comment about a school sh*oting at an unidentified location and time.

FBI Atlanta said that within 24 hours of receiving the tips, they determined the post originated in Georgia and referred the information to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for action.

In the statement, the FBI said that the Sheriff’s office located a possible suspect, a 13-year-old male, Colt Gray, and interviewed him and his father.

At the time, Gray’s father said he had hunting equipment in the house, but Gray did not have unsupervised access. However, he denied making the threats.

Colt Gray’s Father, Colin Gray Is Facing Several Charges

According to GBI, Colin Gray, the father of Colt Gray, was caught by police officers on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Colin Gray, 54, born in 1970, faces four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children.

According to GBI Director Chris Hosey, he will be held at the Barrow County lockup.

Moreover, Colin also faced minor traffic charges in the late 1990s.

However, law enforcement has provided a few additional details but has said the investigation is still ongoing.
