Juan Izquierdo And His Wife Were The Parents of Two Kids

Juan Manuel Izquierdo was married to Selena, with whom he had been for several years.

The couple, who had two children, welcomed their second child, a son, just two weeks before his untimely passing.

Their eldest child is a 2-year-old daughter. They celebrated the arrival of their new baby by sharing this special moment on social media.

During the critical days following Juan’s collapse on the pitch, Selena was constantly present by his side.

Moreover, Uruguayan media shared that Izquierdo’s toddler daughter was at the hospital, staying close to him as he received care.

Juan Izquierdo Family Is Mourning His Loss

Born on July 4, 1997, in Montevideo, Juan was proudly Uruguayan, and his heritage was integral to who he was.

He deeply connected with Uruguay’s vibrant football culture while growing up.

His achievements on the field and his values reflected his Uruguayan roots.

When news of Izquierdo’s critical condition emerged, his parents, Sandra and Nelson, traveled to São Paulo, where he was undergoing treatment.

His sister, Sofia, also joined the player’s father and mother to be by his side.

The Izquierdo family was present until the last moment of his treatment; however, his passing has deeply saddened them.

Sadly, the Club Nacional de Football confirmed the footballer’s demise on the night of August 27, 2024.
