The teenage bantamweight fighter Raúl Rosas Jr. suffers from Pallister W syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.
Moreover, the exact cause of the syndrome is unknown but unusual traits are the change in face and bone structure due to the syndrome.
A cleft palate and upper lip, a broad, flat nose, wide-set eyes, and a downward-sloping eyelid crease are the facial traits of Pallister W syndrome.
Raul’s voice had a blaze to it that he could never extinguish, although it also caused speech issues.
However, Raul Rosas Jr.’s dream of competing in the UFC did not come to an end because of his illness.
After overcoming Dana White, he made a victorious debut at UFC 282 but lost the next one at UFC 287.
But the 18-year-old picked himself up and returned to win the Noche UFC by knockout.
Moreover, he faced several challenges on his way to the UFC. Rosas Jr. need an additional license to compete in Dana White’s promotion.
