43-year-old Juergen Mueller was born in Germany in 1982. His parents worked as social workers and nurses but divorced in his early childhood.
They remarried, and he grew up with the strength of two families instead of just one. He has five half-siblings.

Juergen received his diploma in information systems from The University of Gottingen in 2007 and earned a doctorate of engineering in IT systems from Hasso Plattner Institute in 2012.
He joined Hasso Plattner Institute in April 2007 as a Research and Teaching Assistant and chair Representative. He also contributed to research on In-Memory Data Management.
Similarly, he co-represented Professor Plattner’s research chair at the Hasso for Software Systems Engineering.
Juergen began working as an advisor for Lition Blockchain for over 2 years starting in May 2018.
Afterward, he joined SAP as the head of the Innovation Center Network in September 2013. He is fluent in Chinese, English, French, and German.

He has successfully established the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and leads the Technology & Innovation Board area. His contract was renewed for another three years until the end of 2027.
However, SAP SE has recently announced that Jurgen Mueller will leave the company’s Executive Board on September 30, 2024.
