The Captain was born to her parents in Seattle, Washington. She attended the United States Naval Academy and graduated with a degree in Political Science in 2000.
During her long career, Christy has served in several remarkable positions at sea.
Her sea assignments include Combat Information Center officer, Strike Officer & Navigator on the USS Porter, Operations Officer on the USS Paul Hamilton, and Combat Systems Officer on the USS Port Royal.
Furthermore, from March 2016 to July 2017, she held the position of Executive Officer on the USS McCampbell.
Onshore, Captain Christy has served as a Junior Officer Detailer and Shore Coordinator at the Navy Personnel Command and a Surface and Expeditionary Portfolio Manager in the Navy Office of Legislative Affairs.
Moreover, the Captain is also a graduate of Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. She earned her master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the institution.
